Aww I loved this! The challenge that beauty really is everywhere, and it's our choice to take note and see it in everything - light, food, clothes, you name it! This was such a fun read :)
My favorite dish to share is the Triple C Trifle (Corie's Chocolate Coffee Trifle) = a layer of homemade brownies (incl a dash of espresso powder and dark chocolate chunks in the brownies) + a layer of homemade old fashioned coffee pudding + a layer of toffee/Heath chips + a layer of whipped cream and then repeat 3 x. It's best if you make it the day before and let it all mingle happily before digging in.
Do you have a recipe to share for the two cookie treat? Sounds tasty!
Hi Corie, lovely to meet you here! Ok wow, the Triple C Trifle sounds amazing! The special addition of the espresso powder and dark chocolate chips in the brownies? I'm inspired!! Thank you for sharing this!
She’s back!! 🎉 so glad you’re sharing your creativity through writing by returning to Substack!
Let’s be real! I’d probably bring something easy to the dinner party. My go-to is pigs in a blanket. Gives me peace of mind with the stress of preparing for a gathering. Hopefully, the thoughts I have to share make up for my overly simplified dish 😂
Yesss back at last - and thank YOU for the motivation last night to go ahead and post!!
Ok this is actually smart to take the non-stressful route. I support that. Very dinner-party-friendly too. Ok but also if you were coming to my dinner party I would be wondering what it would take to convince you to make one of your incredible sourdough recipes. Trying one of your creations is on my bucket list!!!

Thank you!! And yes so true! Basically a mini scavenger hunt for beauty each day!

And yes! I can't say it's a mind-blowing recipe but it was just the cozy, simple treat I needed: https://humbly-homemade.com/chewy-almond-butter-oatmeal-cookies-with-chocolate/ And to be honest, when I made these I was feeling too lazy to make this other cookie recipe that is truly incredible, so I'll share that too: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBoRFThJiub/
